The New Fuel Efficient 2012 Chryslers

2012: The year for going green and Chrysler is certainly playing the "green game" by introducing their new Fuel Saving Technology for the 2012 model year. The new Chrysler 300 SRT8 is one of the new models that will be released with this new new technology. This new system will shut down half the cylinders in their 470 HP 6.4L V8 more often than earlier models that had a deactivation system.
"It will be going into 4-cyl mode more often because the engine is so big," says CEO of SRT (Street and Racing Technologies, "On the freeway, you can set the cruise control at 70 and be in 4-cyl mode indefinitely, even up hills. It's that good now."
The Chrysler 300 SRT8's fuel economy is expected to increase by 25% on the highway over the 2010 models, which were rated at 19 highway mpg.
