Merry Christmas and happy new year

Just want to dedicate my blog to such a wonderful season. Just like a new birth this is truly a time of the year when we can have a new beginning. Of course the birth I am thinking about is the birth of Jesus. It wasn't just his birth that gives us the chance for a new beginning, it was his willingness and obedience to die for us that brings us this opportunity. For that, we should be thankful. The forgiveness purchased on the cross brings us the opportunity to start a new beginning.

Likewise, a new year gives us the chance to start over and make better decisions. Just like when we go to bed overwhelmed and wake up the next day feeling like we can deal with lifes challenges, so we can have the hope of a new start with a new year. A start that allows for us to have the hope of change and the ability to cope with life in a better way.

So get out there and use both of these events to start over and start making some great decisions each day that lead to a better tomorrow.

Thanks
Brent

BUSY BUSY

Wow what a busy day today! The New Woody's Philosopy is really catching on and we haven't really started an ad campaign to let people know yet. Between this weekend and today, we had more customers than our sales advisors could handle. What a great problem.

To better understand our new sales philosophy, please go to wowwoodys.com. I think you'll see why so many are coming from out of town and way out of town to deal with Woody's.

We still have our National WAG dog mascot contest going on. You can find information about how to enter your dog on woodysauto.com.

Thanks
Brent Kline

Woodys mission statement, Eva Danner, Tour of Missouri, Operation Help, RSVP Joy Toys

I just completed the Mission Statement of The new Woody's Autmotive Group in Chillicothe and I would like to share it with everyone.

Mission Statement:

To do right and two recognize and acknowledge through our actions that our customer is the most important person in our business; not dependent on us, rather we are dependent upon them; not an interruption of our work, rather they are the purpose of it; doing us a favor by letting us serve them; a part of our business; not a cold statistic…they are flesh and blood human beings with feelings and emotions; not someone to argue with or match wits with; and we shall do our best to treat them according to our beliefs by doing right ever day of every month and in every decision we make.

I mentioned a congrats to Eva Danner on her recent honor. She is a wonderful woman. The above statement came from many conversations I had with her late husband and my coach Daryl Danner. The first day I met him as a teacher, he said he had one simple rule and that was to "Do Right". It was through these conversations that many of my values were formed. In fact, he asked me to Calvary Baptist church, during a revival my Freshman year of High School and I was changed forever. I feel very blessed to have been a part of his life and he mine.

The Tour of Missouri press conference to honor Chillicothe has been postponed until next Wednesday the 16th in the Chillicothe Council Chambers.

Operation help is still selling raffle tickets.

RSVP Joy Toys is still collecting toys and bicycles for young people. Friday is the deadline for them to be able to distribute for Christmas.

Thanks
Brent

Eva Danner, Tour of Missouri, Operation Help, Woodys Automotive Group National Mascot Search

I haven't posted for a few days and have a lot to mention. I will give more information and mention more detailed thoughts in later posts.

Congratulations Eva Danner! I remember the night at the YMCA when Eva asked my wife Jill an I to help her campaign to win the position of county commissioner. We did help a bit, she won, and has made an exceptionally great commissioner. NOW, she has been elected as the president of the Missouri Association of Counties. WOW! Great job Eva Danner.

I am very excited concerning the Tour Of Missouri press conference taking place tomorrow in Chillicothe. This conference is to announce Chillicothe as the winner of the Farm Bureau spirit award for the Tour of Missouri. I had the wonderful opportunit to work with a wonderful, hard working group of people who set out to not only get the Tour of Missouri in Chillicothe, but to win the spirit award. Through plenty of determination and hard work and cooperation and spirit from the citizens of Chillicothe... we did it. Congratulations Chillicothe!

Operation Help has been very very instrumental in assisting those in need over the years and especially this year. Ken Lauhoff came in to see me about a raffle for a 500.00 shopping spree to raise money for operation help. Lets all get behind this great ministry for the Chillicothe area! You can buy tickets by calling Ken Lauhoff at Lauhoff Jewelry, 660 646 3504 or Polly Applebury at Woody's Automotive Group at 660 646 3455 extension 26. Others are selling raffle tickets as well. You could win a 500.00 shoppins spree donated by Lauhoff Jewelry! Thanks Lauhoff's and operation help for all you do!

Lastly, the National Search for the New Woody's Automotive Group is going very well. There are some really cute dogs out there. You may submit a photo or video to:
WAG Mascot Search
310 South Washington
Chillicothe, MO 64601
or email at sonja@woodysauto.com
With a brief letter about your dog, special qualities and why he/she deserves to wear the honorable WAG collar! The winner‘s photo/videos will be included in all Local, National Advertising for Woody’s Automotive Group for the next year.
Deadline for all entries is 1/1/10.

Thanks for listening!

joy toys

RSVP Joy toys which operates out of the senior citizens building on Locust street in Chillicothe conducts a really awesome service year round. They collect bicycles trikes and toys and give them away to those who have need. I heard KCHI say this morning that they are still in need of toys. If you have a spare bicycle or toys or just want to make a donation to help with the repairing of the toys and bicycles, I would highly recommend everyone get behind this great cause.

Likewise, the county health center has a mitten tree project going on to get warm mittens and gloves in "the hands" of those who need them. Again, what a great cause.

When we go out of our way to do good for others it is like setting our lives aside to help others. Jesus taught is to do this and if fact paid the ultimate sacrifice of laying down his life for us...which is what Christmas is about. We can lay our lives down for other in small ways.

Thanks, Brent

We will be right here working with you to make our community and surrounding communities the best they can be!
